Teaching Philosophy

Hey, kids! I'm Adnan Alamgir, your Physics Instructor at Genius Prep Academy — and I'm here to make physics exciting, mind-bending, and worth your curiosity. If you're ready to jump into the whirlpool of physics, I'll be your guide, whether we're tackling the mysteries of the cosmos or just figuring out why your toast always lands butter-side down. During my high school years, I threw myself into the world of science Olympiads, competing at the national level across multiple subjects. One of the highlights of my journey? Becoming the first person from Bangladesh to win a medal at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics — a bronze in 2021, followed by a silver in 2023. I was also proud to be the National Champion in the Physics Olympiad in 2024, and before that I kicked things off by winning the National Junior Science Olympiad in 2019. I completed my high school education at Dhaka Residential Model College, and now I'm gearing up to begin a new adventure at Harvard University, Class of 2029. When I'm not immersed in the laws of nature, I love getting out into nature — doing landscape photography, advocating as a climate steward, or sketching unrealistic paper plane models. I can't wait to explore the world of physics with you. Let's learn, question, and imagine — together.
